Prof. Dr. Nik Sherina Hanafi is a primary care physician in the Department of Primary Care Medicine, Universiti Malaya Medical Centre. Her research interests are in the area of self-management and chronic diseases particularly chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, asthma and hypertension. Her research skills are in quantitative, qualitative, and mixed methods research. She is actively involved in undergraduate and postgraduate clinical training and provides both acute and chronic care to patients in the primary care clinic of UMMC.
